In addition to technical sales, we are currently witnessing the most job growth activity in the operations, manufacturing and supply chain fields. Corporations are still somewhat cautious about hiring but are looking to streamline operations and improve efficiency. One of our most urgent requirements is for an operations management professional with the following background.
Job Title: Regional Operations Manager
Location: Addison, IL
Compensation: $45,000-64,000
This position is responsible for all aspects of a large regional distribution center. Partnering with others, both internall and externally, this person is in charge of the entire distribution center.
Our client has 16 offices nationally with 6 other regional distribution centers throughout the U.S.
This person will:
- Control costs
- Focus on efficient operation of packing, setup, shipping and delivery of all of our clients products
- Be responsible for overall distribution center efficiency
- Establish sound operational and organizational behavior
- Be responsible for 10 warehouse workers including pickers and leads plus administrative help
- Be able to make recomendations on effectiveness of the operation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2-5 years in a leadership role (minimum of 5-7 reports)
- Strong computer skills
- Well developed people skills
- Great written and verbal skills
- Bi-lingual is a plus
