Chicago technical sales recruiting firm seeks a Sales Representative

Kappa Search Inc. is the city of Chicago’s leading technical sales recruiting firm that specializes in the permanent placement of engineering and technical sales roles. Currently, we are seeking a Sales Representative for our client. We are specifically looking for someone who can effectively establish and maintain active relationships with customers. This person will need to have a proven track record of increasing sales revenues through established territory management. In addition, he/she should be an excellent communicator with both customers and team personnel as a means to consistently enhance sales results.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Call on existing and new customers to expand sales and profits
  • Create strategic sales plans/forecasts
  • Prepare and present proposals and/or reports to appropriate personnel or customer-base
  • Use company system to build database of all sales activities
  • Report weekly sales results and/or operations and submit expense reports


  • Bachelor’s Degree (or some college)
  • At least 1 year of outside sales experience
  • Solid technical and/or mechanical understanding
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Overnight travel


  • Order entry experience
  • Bilingual
