Chicago technical sales recruitment firm seeks a Sales Engineer with refractory expertise

We are partnering with a distributor and installer of refractory materials located in the Indianapolis, IN area that is currently hiring a Sales Engineer. This is an opportunity for a seasoned refractory sales professional to leverage a great market position with a national player in the industry that provides outstanding compensation potential.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing the entire sales cycle for refractory services and materials. Other responsibilities are as follows:

  • Prospect to end users in the energy, mining, foundry, steel, petrochemical and pulp and paper industries in need of refractory solutions
  • Provide estimates and quoting to clients and internally direct the quoting process
  • Manage installation projects which may also require general contractor duties associated labor management
  • Close new business and maintain the existing book of business for the company
  • Assist management in creating and driving sales strategy throughout the organization


  • Previous sales experience in the refractory industry
  • Highly independent person with positive attitude
  • Willingness and ability to travel aggressively throughout Indiana
