Miller Manufacturing expands its Glencoe, Minnesota, location

Miller Manufacturing, producer of farm, ranch and pet products , is expanding its Glencoe, Minnesota facility.

Miller Manufacturing plans to invest $3 million to expand its distribution center located in Glencoe, Minnesota, according to a statement from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). Miller Manufacturing sells more than 900 farm and pet products in the U.S. and more than 30 other countries. The investment will go toward improving the property.

To help with the expansion, DEED will give the company $185,000 from the Minnesota Job Creation Fund. The fund is a pay-for-performance program that provides up to $1 million in incentives to business. In order for Miller Manufacturing to receive the funds, the company must meet certain performance goals such as create at least 10 full-time jobs and invest at least $500,000 in the area.

Miller Manufacturing intends to add 20 jobs as part of the expansion with an average wage of $13 an hour, according to ABC Information Radio Network affiliate KDUZ. The company plans to fill the positions within the next two years.

"If anyone still doubts that public-private partnerships can help businesses to expand and to create new jobs, they should look to Miller Manufacturing and the Minnesota Job Creation Fund," said Gov. Mark Dayton. "I want to thank Miller Manufacturing for their important expansion, and for the additional good-paying jobs they will create for Minnesotans."

Businesses looking to expand their local facilities should partner with manufacturing and operations recruiters. Experienced recruiters can find businesses the most qualified candidates for their open positions. While the job experts look for candidates, businesses can focus on other matters.
