Technical Sales Recruiter seeks a Technical Sales Representative

Kappa Search is a Chicago technical recruitment firm that specializes in Engineering, Technical Sales, Manufacturing and Supply Chain recruitment and placement. One of our clients, the global leader in their industry, seeks a Sales Representative for a growth opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Due to excellent growth in our business, we have an opening for an experienced Sales Representative. The incumbent will be responsible for all phases of our sales cycle, including:

  • Account management of existing customers and establishing new customers.
  • Identifying and managing sales opportunities for planned construction projects.
  • Prospecting architects, engineers and consultants of construction projects to get company products specified.
  • Providing assistance in product selection.
  • Preparing job quotes, product submittals, etc.
  • Providing jobsite and after-sales support to assure that all parties (owners, specifiers and contractors) are satisfied.
  • Supporting distributors in sales calls, problem resolution, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in an engineering, business or other related curriculum.
  • Several years experience in a sales environment selling a manufactured product.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience selling products used in the bid/spec, new construction environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of success in a sales environment.
