Trends in Atlanta suggest improvement in tech job industry.

Atlanta's tech job growth has shown positive trends over the past two years. This period, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, led to Atlanta being ranked 11th in the U.S. for the number of tech jobs created in the last two years.

The Journal-Constitution derived their information from CBRE, which is a commercial real estate services firm. The firm found that companies, between 2011 and 2013, saw an increase in the number of workers in high-tech jobs at a rate of 10.7 percent. Other leading cities included Austin and San Francisco.

"The Atlanta region's job growth is on the rise," said Mike Alexander, manager of ARC's Research & Analytics Division, according to Atlanta Intown. "Because the Atlanta region is an attractive place for employers and employees, we tend to attract people from all over the country, creating more in-migration than out-migration."

Economic growth, is the impetus behind the increase in population in the city. This also means that growth is not solely occurring in the tech industry – other industries are experiencing growth as well.

Engineering recruiters will gain an heightened presence by heading to Atlanta, given its growing economy.
